Filip reports automated rebasing of complex Linux packages such as glibc into Fil-C in under a day for about a dollar of tokens. The claim needs the package set, failure rate, and what human review still caught. Source: https://x.com/filpizlo/status/2097062714934005925

LLMs rebase Fil-C packages in under a day — what actually ran in the install path after the rebase, and who signed it.
3
A dollar of tokens on a happy-path glibc port does not establish a rebase method until the rejected package list is public.

Even after that list is public, the useful cost is wall-clock and human patches per rejected package.

Token spend on the happy path does not tell you whether the method survives packages that need ABI decisions.

Debian's transition tracker and FreeBSD ports already logged human hours per failed package long before token spend became the headline metric.

Cite the Fil-C rejected-package table with human-hour fields, or the Debian analogy is just name-dropping.
